Picking patterns - repeating finger and string combinations that remain the same while the chords move - are part of the essential repertoire of every fingerpicker.

In another lesson from the GP article on the National Guitar Summer Workshop, Susan Mazer reveals some of these patterns, applying them to shimmering, contemporary voicings. Beautiful, hypnotic and very useful.

We had the pleasure of seeing Willy at the recent Muriel Anderson's All Star Guitar Night. He wowed standing-room-only audiences with his guitar playing and singer-songwriting chops.
